Hosman, a charming village in Sibiu County, Romania, is nestled in the scenic Transylvanian countryside. It’s renowned for its traditional Saxon villages and historic fortified churches, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage. The festival takes place in the picturesque village of Hosman, located approximately 20 minutes from the city of Sibiu.
1. Getting to the Festival
Q: How can I get to the festival in Hosman?
A: The most convenient way to reach Hosman is by car. Don’t forget to purchase a mandatory road tax (rovinietă) which can be bought online or at fuel stations.
A: There is a bus departing from Sibiu to Hosman (Transmixt bus station) on Friday, August 22nd, at 4:00 PM, and from Hosman to Sibiu on Monday, August 25th, at 05:54 AM. The ticket fare is 21 lei, best to have cash.
Also, if you can make it to Sibiu, we’ll handle the rest! We’ll gladly pick you up from the train station and bring you to Hosman, and we’ll also make sure you get back to Sibiu afterwards.

2. Camping
Q: Where can I set up my tent?
A: You’re in for a unique experience! Camping is located inside the historic walls of the fortified church. Best of all, camping is free and included in your festival ticket – including the day tickets, with the request to vacate the camping area and festival premises the next day, at 12:00 PM the latest.
Enjoy the incredible atmosphere and immerse yourself in a truly special location that blends history with the festival spirit.
Registrations for tents is required.
3. Campervans
Q: Can I bring my campervan?
A: Yes, we have a limited number of spaces available for small campervans. Parking for campervans is also free, but you must let us know in advance as space is very limited. Its is absolutely required to register your campveran here.
4. Alternative Accommodation
Q: What if I want to sleep at a hotel or Airbnb? Are there any options in Hosman village?
A: There are no accommodation options directly in Hosman village.
For comfortable lodging, consider staying in Sibiu, just a 20-minute drive away, which offers a range of hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnbs. Alternatively, you can check for Airbnb or hotel options in nearby villages for a more local experience.
Book early to ensure you have a cozy place to rest after enjoying the festival!
5. Extra nights after the festival
Q: Can I stay 1-2 extra nights with my tent/campervan?
A: Unfortunately, extended stays are not permitted. Camping and campervan spots are only available for the duration of the festival. Please vacate your spots by Monday at 12 PM. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure a smooth and organized experience for all attendees.
6. Parking
Q: Where can I park my car?
A: We will have a designated parking area in the village. To help you get to the festival site more easily, we’ll have shuttles waiting to transport you from the parking area to the festival entrance. There will be a small fee for these services.
We ask all festival-goers to park only in this designated area to avoid blocking entrances, roads, or pathways. This helps keep the village safe and accessible for everyone and shows respect to the local residents. Let’s be considerate and follow the parking guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
7. Charging points
Q: Can I charge my phone in the camping area?
A: There are no charging points in the camping / festival area, please make sure you have an external battery and that your devices are fully charged.
8. Showers & Toilets
Q: Are there showers and toilets available at the festival?
A: Absolutely! We ensure that our festival-goers have all the necessary amenities. Clean and accessible showers and toilets are provided on the festival premises for your comfort and convenience.
9. Food & Drinks
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks to the festival?
A: For safety and to support our local vendors, outside food and drinks are not allowed. But don’t worry – we’ve got a fantastic selection of food stalls and beverage stands on-site. Enjoy a variety of tasty options and refreshing drinks available at the festival to keep you fueled and hydrated throughout the event.
10. Kids’ Access
Q: Is there an age limit for children attending the festival?
A: Kids under 14 get in for free! Please ensure to bring along a birth certificate or another form of ID as proof of their age. They must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult to enter the festival grounds.
